Question And Non-Fiction



My Reflection

WALT:
Ask and answer questions to help us build understanding of the text Identify features of nonfiction texts.

Success Criteria:
Can ask questions before, during and after reading.
Can identify the type of questions being asked.
Can use different sources (search text, prior knowledge, other texts) to answer questions.
Can identify features of nonfiction texts and explain their purpose.

( can show on slide 2)

There are 2 question in the slideshow for birds of prey : (The Follow slide are)
  • Asking question are like asking why about the thing
  • Answering question are like using the correct answering (or making the right answer) 
There are 12 non-fiction text features : 

  1. Heading are like a information title chapter
  2. Photo are like a little photo (find in this slideshow page 1)
  3. Caption are like ... this bird is the fastest bird in the world
  4. bold words are like ... hello or HELLO
  5. Italics are sloped letters like ... hello or HELLO
  6. Chart/Table are like a box in group
  7. Fact box are like ... little facts 
  8. Q and A box (question and answer box) are like using a question and use the corret answering for it.
  9. Word box are a word in a box
These I might don't know below:
  1. Graph
  2. Comparison
  3. Diagram
Now I can work and learn in the book
also I might be still learning.

You have put a lot of effort into this Michael. The hard work is paying off! You were able to identify so many different features when we read about seals a few weeks after you finished this slide. You should be very proud :)
